Today was my very first 10k, and it was also my first “virtual run” via Will Run for Bling. I did my virtual run at the local gym, because:
1.) The race said treadmill running counts (I added a 1.5 incline to make it a little more challenging)
2.) It’s frozen outside in Chiberia (yes, Chiberia is a thing). According to the weather report this a.m., it’s snowed 9 out of 10 weekends this winter. It’s safe to say I’m counting down the days until spring!
As of today I have 2 races down and 12 to go to meet my 14 in 2014 race goal. I’m taking it one step at a time!
This week I have a number of running days lined up plus yoga, core work and plyocide. For those of you who haven’t experienced the beauty (and pain) of P90X2 Plyocide, I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a killer workout. And by killer I mean thinking you may actually meet your maker while taking a water break between sets. But I’ll be darned if I don’t feel great afterwards! You may yell at Tony Horton during the video (I’m known to do that frequently), but he can’t hear you and he’ll continue kicking your butt regardless. So go ahead and let those insults fly, your sculpted bum will thank you for it.
